Lane Tech Swimming breaks FIVE school records!

The Lane Tech boys’ swim team broke FIVE school records during sectionals hosted at Glenbrook South High School.

Ben Martinez set a new school record for the 200 meter individual medley, breaking a two-year old record

Mark Gullickson set a new record for the 200 meter freestyle. Mark, interestingly, broke his older brother’s record from two years ago. Matt Gullickson was a Lane student and now attends DePauw University.

Max Boettcher set two records – one for the 50 meter freestyle and for the 100 meter backstroke. Both records were from the l970s!

The relay team of Mark Gullickson, Max Boettcher, Ben Martinez and Justin Trieu set a new school record for the 400 meter freestyle relay

Seniors Arpad Neale and Freddie Weichmann had lifetime best times at the meet as well.

Lane Tech boys basketball defeats Harlan; advances to Sweet 16 for third straight season

The Lane Tech boys basketball program earned home game as a higher seed in the first round of the Chicago Public League playoffs this past Thursday and defeated Harlan High School (Red-South division) by a score of 52-47.  The Indians were led by senior Noah Khan's 20 points.

The Indians will be playing Kenwood (Red-Central champs) on Sunday at Corliss High School.  Time TBD.  Come out and support your Sweet Sixteen bound Lane Tech Indians!


Anthony Faltin named head football coach

Lane Tech High School is proud to announce the hiring of Anthony Faltin as the new head football coach. He brings a strong work ethic, passion and excitement to Lane. He has a high level of knowledge and pure love of the game along with an understanding and pride in the tradition of Lane Tech.  

His previous accomplishments as a head coach speak volumes as he led Walter Payton to FOUR consecutive state playoff appearances. Payton won consecutive conference championships in 2013 and 2014. Walter Payton achieved a 23-3 conference record over the last four years.

Athletic Announcements (Week of 2/2/15)


Congratulations to wrestlers Kaiden Friedreich (two-time city champ) and Jake Davis (three-time city champ).

Congratulations to the boys basketball team on their senior night win over Luther North 62-49. Coach LoGalbo would like to thank all of the seniors for their commitment and sacrifice to the program. Coach LoGalbo would also like to thank all of the cheerleaders, dance team members, majorettes, and the Lane Tech Marching Warriors for their commitment to giving our team a true home court advantage this season.  The Indians begin city playoffs this Thursday vs. Harlan at home.  This will be the Indians last home game of the season.  Please come out and show your support!

Girls Basketball will be having their senior night this week vs. Uplift.  The game was originally scheduled for 2/2 but due to school closing the game is being rescheduled.  Please check back for updates!

Boys Lacrosse is having a Player/Parent meeting on Thursday Feb. 5th at 6pm in the cafeteria. If you are interested in playing boys lacrosse you should plan on attending this meeting.
